D2L (Brightspace) upgrade and migration
On Saturday, Apr. 29, CITL will be upgrading the D2L learning management system (Brightspace*). As a result, Brightspace will be unavailable while the upgrade occurs.
In addition to the upgrade, our Brightspace software will migrate from Memorial University’s data centre to the D2L hosted facility. Migrating to the D2L hosted facility will allow the Memorial community to benefit from various features and additional functionality currently not available.
Resources, support materials and training are being developed to aid in the transition. Further details will be communicated through Brightspace News and Newsline once they are available.

*In 2014, D2L (the company) changed the name of its learning management system to Brightspace. At Memorial, while we have continued to refer to the learning management system as D2L, we are beginning a transition to introduce and eventually move to the term Brightspace.
