Library Services

A number of valuable services are available through MUN Libraries to help you be successful in your course work.

Below is a list of some of the services you may need to access while completing this course.

Off-campus Access

To access many electronic resources (e.g. ebooks, journal articles, databases) from home, you will need to connect using your MUN Login ID and password. You will automatically be prompted whenever you need to log on.

OneSearch

OneSearch is a discovery tool that allows you to search MUN’s vast library collections from a single search box, located right on the library homepage. Use OneSearch to look for books, ebooks, maps, multimedia and all other materials owned by the library, and to do simple article searches across a variety of subject areas.

Sign in to OneSearch (top right corner once you have run an initial search) to access your account information, view loan periods, and request materials from other libraries.

Course Reserves

Your instructor may have added access to Course Reserves available within the course site. Please use the Course Reserves widget on the course homepage or the link provided under the content menu to access any library resources identified for your course.

Alternatively, you can find materials your professor has placed on Course Reserves through the Library website. Click on the Course Reserves link under Research Tools and log in using your MUN login ID and password. To locate your Course Reserves:

Research

For research help when you need it, contact the library by telephone, live chat, or email. If you are able to visit a library, you can also make an appointment or drop by to visit the Information desk.

Also, Subject Guides will help you find the best resources from the library and the web.

Citation

Video Tutorials and style guides are available for MLA, APA and Chicago style on the library website.

Library support is readily available through the Ask Us chat service.
